Create Religious Ed Groups for Aides, Students and Teachers (Step 3)
This article will explain how to create Groups for Aides, Students, and Teachers that will be participating in your Faith Formation Program. If your parish has never used the Religious Ed Module in eCatholic ChMS or any other system prior to your conversion then you will want to first create Level Maintenance.

Click on
Groups via the top navigation bar and select
Group Maintenance.

At the top of the screen click
New Group.

A pop up form will appear
Enter in the name of the group (Possible choices might be Religious Education Aides, RE Aides or Religious Education Aides).
Enter in a description. You may use the group name in this field.
The drop down below the description is used to signify that this Group will be used in Ministry Scheduling only so the default of "No" does not have to be changed.

Press
Save and the Group is added and will appear in the Group List and in the Group drop-down in Member Maintenance. Repeat this process for creating a group for students and teachers.

After creating your religious education groups, go to
Administrative > Registration Maintenance. Underneath the heading
Religious Education Groups are three drop-down menu fields. Select the name of your religious education teachers group from the
(Teachers) drop-down menu, your religious education aides group from the
(Aides) drop-down menu, and your religious education students group from the
(Students) drop-down menu and then click the orange
Save button in the bottom right corner of the page. Selecting the correct group for these drop-down fields allows the correct group members to populate in Teacher, Aide, and Student fields in the Religious Ed. Module.
