Ministry Scheduler Pro Integration Setup

Turning On Ministry Scheduler Pro Integration

  1. Navigate to Admin > Church. Scroll to the bottom to see the Ministry Scheduler Pro (MSP) Integration information. Click create.

  1. A pop up will appear that will show you the settings that you will need to enter into MSP. Also, a list of active groups will appear. You will select the groups that you are scheduling within MSP. Once you have finalized this list, click Save.

  1. Now, you can navigate to Ministry Scheduler Pro. Go to File > Synchronize Volunteers with
  2. Press the Change option located to the right of Church Management Software. Select MSP Partner.
  3. The next screen will ask you for your API URL and security key. This can be found in the pop-up screen seen previously in the database when you selected Create.

  1. Paste the copied values of the API URL and security key into MSP.

    7. Click Continue. On the next screen, select the same groups that you chose on the ChMS side.

  1. Once the groups have been selected, click Continue and you should see a list of all of your volunteers. Select the ones you would like moved into the database or you can chose Add All and then you can chose to Import All.

How to Synchronize Updated Volunteers

  1. If you update volunteers/volunteer information in MSP, those changes will carry over into the ChMS database.
  2. If you update volunteers/volunteer information in the ChMS database, you will need to  synchronize again.
    • File > Synchronize Volunteers > Import New and and update existing volunteers > Continue

  1. MSP will populate all of the new volunteers that need to be synchronized. If the list looks correct, you can select Synchronize Now.
  2. All volunteers should now be synchronized across your ChMS database and MSP. When completed, a screen should pop-up showing how many new volunteers were synchronized.

Important Note:

Syncing members between eCatholic ChMS and Ministry Scheduler Pro requires that names be an exact match in both systems. Updating information in the MSP, will trigger the updates to be made in the database.
