Emailing through the Religious Ed Module
The ChMS allows you to email through the Religious Ed Module. Emails sent through the Religious Ed module will go to the Family Email.
Important Note: The ChMS will not allow anyone under 18 to be contacted through the Religious Ed Module.
PRO TIP: Multiple emails can be listed in an email field as long as they are separated by a semi-colon (with no spaces).
Note: After emailing through the ChMS, Send Grid will notify you of bounced emails but the notification does not include email addresses. To review bounced and unsubscribed email addresses, generate the Email Exception Report found in your report library.
To email through the Religious Ed Module, scroll to Religious Ed > Class Maintenance. Within Class Maintenance, select those classes you want to email by checking the box(es) next to their Level(s). If you wish to send an email to all classes in your Religious Ed program, check the box next to the Level heading. Then click Send Message.
When emailing through the ChMS, emails are sent from [email protected]. If a religious ed. email address is specified in the Religious Education Maintenance screen, that email address will receive any replies to emails sent from the Religious Ed Module. If a religious ed email is not specified, the parish email address in the Church Maintenance screen will receive replies to emails sent from the Religious Ed Module.
For parishes with multiple DREs or multiple people managing different grade levels, the ChMS allows email addresses to be added in Level Maintenance. If an email address is specified in Level Maintenance, that email address will receive replies sent to emails sent to classes from that Level. If no email address is specified for a Level, the ChMS will use the default religious ed email address within the Religious Education Maintenance screen.
