Searching Member Records Across Multiple Churches
To search across the Diocese or a collaborative we suggest you create a custom screen similar to the example below that becomes your custom layout. This will allow you to see at a glance what churches you are currently viewing and allow you to quickly move between churches if you are a collaborative.
Searching across the diocese
- When you initially open Member Explorer, the Church ID column will be populated with the church ID number that you initially logged into.
- To search across the Diocese simply clear out the box and hit enter. There should be no number in the Church ID section.

- The search screen will populate with all the members in the Diocese. To go back to viewing only members in your church, reenter your Church ID number, hit enter, and your members will repopulate your search screen.
- Once you have clicked on the Family record you would like added to your church, go to Churches > Add to my church. See image below:

- Search for the name of your church and click Save.
Note: Only churches who are part of a Diocesan Initiative will be able to search across the Diocese. To add a family to your church, please follow the steps outlined in Section 5 of this article. Only individuals with access to Family Explorer can search across the diocese for families.
