How to create an account / log in to Connect

Creating an account to use Connect is free, simple and straightforward. 

Creating your Connect account


  1. Enter email address
    1. To begin, go to app.ecatholic.com/register, enter an email address, and click Next. 
    2. You’ll want to make sure you use an email address you can directly access. (After submitting your email, a code will be sent to that address which you will need to enter on the next screen.)
  2. Verify your email address
    1. Go to your email inbox and you will find an eCatholic Email Address Verification email. Open the message to retrieve the 12-character verification code. This code is valid for 30 minutes. Copy the verification code and paste it into the Verification code field and click Next.
    2. NOTE: If you receive an Account already exists email instead of the Email Address Verification message, this means an account has already been created with the email you entered. To proceed, go to app.ecatholic.com/login and enter the email address there instead. 
  3. Finalize your account details
    1. As a final step, enter your name and date of birth. Then your account setup will be complete.

Logging in to your Connect account


Your Connect account will utilize a one-time password. Each time you log in, the system will send you a unique 6-digit code you can use to access your account. You will only use the code once; it will expire after 5 minutes. The next time you log in, the system will send you a new, unique 6-digit code.


  1. Enter your account email
    1. To begin, go to app.ecatholic.com/login and enter the email that was used to create your account and click Next.
  2. Enter your security code (one-time password)
    1. Go to your email inbox and you will find a message from eCatholic: {} is your eCatholic security code. Open the message to retrieve the 6-digit security code (one-time password). It is valid for 5 minutes. Copy the security code and paste it into the Security code field and click Log in.
    2. NOTE: If you receive a Create an account to log in to eCatholic email instead of the security code message, this means an account does not exist for the email address you entered. If you are certain you have an account, try to log in using a different email address. If you do not have an account, go to app.ecatholic.com/register and create a new account with your email address. 

Can I log in with my mobile number?

Yes! You can configure your account to log in using a mobile number instead of email. First, you must add a mobile number to your account. Once added, you may set it as your preferred login method. Read on to learn how to add a mobile number to your Connect account.

Adding a mobile number to your Connect account


You may add your mobile number to your account by following the steps below:

  1. Navigate to your Account Settings. (Click on your initials in the upper right hand corner of your Connect screen, then My Profile).
  2. Click Add Email / Mobile Number
  3. Enter your mobile number and click Next.
  4. A 12-character verification code will be sent to the mobile number you entered. Retrieve the code, enter it on the next screen in the Security Code field, then click Confirm.

Setting your mobile number as your preferred login method


Once a mobile number has been added to your account, you may set it as your preferred login method.

  1. On the My Account Settings screen, locate the mobile number you want to use for login.
  2. Click the 3 dots icon to open the menu, then click Set as login phone.

The next time you log in to your account, you may enter your mobile number. The system will send a 6-digit security code (one-time password) to your mobile number that you can use to log in to your account.
