How to create a simulated LIVE broadcast

Simulated live videos are displayed at designated event times and, to the viewer, appear as events streamed in real time. You can upload a video and schedule an event to broadcast that video at a specific time in a few easy steps seen below:


  1. Once you are logged into your eCatholic LIVE Admin Portal, on the left hand panel, you can click on Channel > Simulated Live
  2. Click on Add Simulated Live to upload the video you would like to have played (see image below)

  1. Once the upload is complete, you can head back to the Dashboard tab and click "Schedule an Event":

  1. From the drop down menu for Event Type, choose "Simulated Live"

Archive is used when have a video you would like uploaded from your computer storage, and put into the archives online. Check out how to do that, here.

  1. Choose the video from your archives that you would like broadcasted:


  1. Fill out the necessary information such as Title, Description, Start Time, and End time, Category etc.
  2. Click Schedule Event.
  3. To view and edit this Simulated Live video broadcast that was just created, return to the dashboard and look under "Upcoming".

You are all set! Your Simulated Live video will now play on your site on the date and time you have it scheduled.
