What are viewer hours?

Viewer hours are a metric that can help you determine how much time people have spent watching your video content. Viewer hours account for the total sum-time in hours that your live stream, on-demand content, or both, has been watched by viewers.

So for example, 100 viewer hours reported would mean that the sum-total of all of your viewers and views equated to 100 hours of playback.

This metric generally proves to be valuable particularly for companies and productions reporting back to advertisers, but is also just a great way to gauge general interest in your stream.
