How to add an image to a message

To add an image to a message, click the Add Image control in the message formatting toolbar.

In the Insert Image modal, you may drag and drop an image that you have saved on your hard drive to add it to the message. Alternatively, you may click the gray box to open your local file storage and select the image file.

If you'd like to insert an image already hosted on the web, select the Use an existing web link option, then type or paste the URL for the image you'd like to embed in the message. Once added, a preview of the image will appear in the modal. Click Add Image to embed the image in the message.

Resizing an image

Once the image is added to the message, click the image and use the squares on the corner of the image to drag the corner and proportionally resize the image.

Other image actions

Clicking on an image that has been added to a message will reveal the following actions:

  • Replace - This will open the Insert Image modal again and allow you to insert a different image.
  • Alt Text - Add text to describe the image (optional). Alt text will be shown if the image is not displayed or fails to load for a recipient. By default, the Alt Text for all added images is "Embedded Image."
  • Remove - Click this to delete the image from the message.
