How to add an image to a message
The easiest way to add an image to a message in Connect is to simply:
- Position your cursor wherever you want the image to appear, then
- Drag and drop the image onto the message composer content region within the 'Drop here to embed an image' drop zone (shown below):
Alternatively, you may click the Image icon in the message formatting toolbar (shown below).
In the Insert Image modal, you may drag and drop an image that you have saved on your hard drive to add it to the message. Alternatively, you may click the Browse button to open your local file storage and select the image file.
If you'd like to insert an image already hosted on the web, select the Use an existing web link option, then type or paste the URL for the image you'd like to embed in the message.
Once added, a preview of the image will appear in the modal.
Optionally, you may:
- Add an Alt Image Description
- Add an Image Link - recipients will be able to click / tap the image and be redirected to a specific URL — like a button.
Click Save to embed the image in the message.
Resizing an image
Once the image is added to the message, click the image and use the squares on the corner of the image to drag the corner and proportionally resize the image.
