Creating and Managing Funds
Funds are the virtual buckets where payments made through your forms will go. Donors can choose a fund in your Donation Form to let you know how they’d like their gift to be used whether that’s your weekly offertory, a building campaign, or a special collection. You can use the Funds tab to add new funds, update existing ones, and control which funds are currently accepting gifts.

Viewing Your Funds
Go to Funds in the top navigation to see every fund on your account, along with its External ID (if one is set) and its Status (Active or Archived).
Creating a New Fund
- From the Funds tab, click + New Fund.
- Enter a Fund Name (required). This is what donors will see in the Fund dropdown on your donation form.
- Optionally, enter an External ID. This is useful if you want to match this fund to a corresponding record in another system, such as your ChMS database. It's not required and donors never see it.
- Click Save. The new fund appears in your Funds list right away and becomes available on your donation form immediately.
Editing a Fund
Click the 3-dot button next to any fund and choose Edit Fund to update its name or External ID. Changing a fund's name here also updates how it appears on your donation form.
Archiving or Deleting a Fund
The same 3-dot button gives you two ways to stop using a fund:
- Archive Fund: removes the fund from your donation form's Fund dropdown, but keeps the fund and its giving history intact. Archived funds still appear in your Funds list, marked Archived, and can be reactivated if you wish to start using them again.
- Delete Fund: removes the fund entirely. Only funds that have never been used can be deleted, in order to ensure that giving history is not impacted.
How Funds Appear to Donors
Every Active fund appears in the Select a Fund dropdown donors see when they make a one-time or recurring gift. Archived funds are hidden from donors automatically. You don't need to remove them from your donation form separately.
A Note on Terminology
If you are familiar with our classic Payment Centers, note that Funds operate similarly to the Account and Sub-account combination that is used there.
