People module - How it works

eCatholic's People module allows you to easily create profiles to list people's contact information (including links to their social media accounts and a headshot) on your website.

Instead of manually cropping headshots, formatting contact information, and linking email addresses in a Text/HTML module, let the People module do the work for you!

How to use the People module

1

Drag and drop the People module onto the page

Navigate to the page on which you would like the People module to appear. Then, click Add Content > Core Modules, and click to drag and drop the People module onto the page.

NOTE: The People module is commonly used to list staff members on a site's Staff page.

2

Add a person

Once the People module has been added to the page for the first time, it will be empty. The next step is to create profiles that can be tagged to appear in the module on the page.

  1. Click on the Add Person icon that appears when you hover your cursor over the module (illustrated above). This will launch the Add People dialog.
  2. Click + New Person to begin creating a person's profile.
  3. Add the person's information in the Person Settings dialog (e.g., Name, Role, Email, Picture, etc.). Once you've added all the appropriate information, click Save.
3

Tag the person's profile to appear on the page

After creating a person's profile, it is added to your site's list of all People module profiles. There is one final step: You must tag their profile to appear on the page by clicking Add to Page. Finally, click Done.

Once you Publish your changes, the person's profile will appear on your website.
