Viewing and Filtering Transactions
A Transaction is a single payment or refund attempt. That’s a bit different from an Order, which represents the donor's gift as a whole and can include more than one related transaction. If you’d like to see how they connect, please check Viewing Orders and Order Details.

Viewing the Transactions List
Go to Activity > Transactions in your eCatholic Payments admin console.
Each row shows:
- Date: when the transaction occurred
- Last, First Name: the donor
- Type: Payment, Refund, Void
- Payout: whether the transaction has been batched in a payout sent to your bank
- Amount: the transaction amount
- Status: Approved or Declined. See Understanding Transaction and Order Statuses for what each means.
Filtering and Searching
Use the controls above the list to narrow what you see:
- Date range, such as Last 30 Days
- Status, to show only Approved or only Declined transactions
- Type, to show only Payments, Refunds, or Voids
- Search by Name, to find transactions for a specific donor
Use the arrows next to the result count to page through additional transactions.
Opening a Transaction
Select any row, or the arrow at the end of the row, to see more detail about that transaction. The same transaction detail also appears in the Related Transactions section of its order. See Viewing Orders and Order Details.
