How to set up YouTube Live integration

With eCatholic LIVE, it’s simple to effortlessly publish your live video content on multiple platforms, including YouTube Live!

Here’s how to enable YouTube Live integration with your eCatholic LIVE account.

Enable live streaming for your YouTube channel

In order to set up the YouTube Live integration in your eCatholic LIVE account, you must first verify that live streaming is enabled for your YouTube channel.

Don't have a YouTube Channel? Check out Google's documentation on how to create a new channel before proceeding with the instructions below.

1. Use this link to see if live streaming is currently enabled for your channel: https://www.youtube.com/live_dashboard_splash
• If prompted, log in to your Google account and select the appropriate YouTube channel to proceed.
• If you do not yet have live streaming enabled for your YouTube channel, you will see the screenshot pictured below. Click Get Started to verify your identity with YouTube. This will begin the process of enabling live broadcasting with your YouTube channel.



2. Once your channel is verified, you should get access to YouTube’s live streaming features within 24 hours.

NOTE: If you do not see the screenshot pictured above and are instead redirected to the live streaming dashboard (pictured below) in your YouTube account, you're good to go! Live streaming is already enabled for your YouTube channel and you can move on to step two.

Log in to your eCatholic LIVE Admin Portal

Once you've verified that live streaming is enabled for your YouTube account, it's time to enable the YouTube Live integration with eCatholic LIVE. You must complete these steps before you can schedule a broadcast to syndicate on YouTube Live.

 To access your eCatholic LIVE portal, log in to your website, click the down caret next to Websites in the upper left hand corner, and select Live Streaming.

Go to the YouTube Integration page

Once in your eCatholic LIVE Admin Portal:

1. Locate the Syndication section (pictured below), then use the link in the YouTube section to get started.
   • Alternatively, go to the eCatholic LIVE Tasks menu > YouTube Integration.

   

2. Next, click the blue Enable YouTube Integration button (pictured below).

Allow eCatholic LIVE access to your YouTube account

After you click the Enable YouTube Integration button, you may be prompted to:

1. Select the appropriate Google account and log in (if you manage multiple Google accounts).
2. Then, click Allow to grant eCatholic LIVE access to the specific YouTube account.

   

Once complete, your eCatholic LIVE Admin Portal will verify that it successfully integrated with the YouTube account! ( pictured below)
